Clear Channel Mainstream Top 40 WFLZ/Tampa PD/afternoon host Kane, who resigned his programming position Tuesday (10/31) is headed to sister Mainstream Top 40 WIHT (Hot 99.5)/Washington D.C. to host morning drive. He replaces The Hot Morning Mess with Mark Kaye, Kris Gamble and producer Ron Ross, who exited the station Wednesday morning (11/1). Kane is reunited with Clear Channel OM/Washington-Baltimore Jeff Kapugi who he worked under as APD when Kapugi was PD at FLZ.

"I'm so excited to be reunited with Jeff Kapugi," said Kane. "He and I are like Snoop and Dr. Dre! I am very grateful for this opportunity and special thanks to Dave Pugh, Marc Chase, Doug Hamand and Brad Hardin. I look forward to joining the already amazing team at Hot 99.5!"

"Hot 99.5 is lucky to have the opportunity to get a high-profile personality like Kane," added Kapugi. "This is the final piece of the air staff for Hot 99.5 that will take us to new heights."

The new Hot morning show with Kane will be followed by Vibegrrl from 10am-3pm, APD Toby Knapp from 3pm-7pm, and The Hot Freek Show with Grooves from 7pm-12mid.
